Featured Artist: Architect Jonas Bartin Pacifico
Jonas Pacifico has always been an artist at heart which is evident in all of his works whether it be the buildings he has designed, his furniture, fixture, music and other projects. As an architect, he believes that creating sustainable artwork is a good way of keeping in touch with his artistic side and at the same time, it allows him to create an extension of his architectural prowess and vice versa. His pioneering collection, which makes use of metal and steel to create linear minimalist and freehand sculptures, is a clear display of what influences him and what inspires him as an artist. Metal and steel are both materials that are commonly associated with architecture however, Architect Pacifico was able to marry his two passions, architecture and art, and create timeless pieces that will not only catch one’s attention but also leaves a last impression to whowever sees them. Metal Sketches, which is Jonas’ pioneering collection displays his abilities to take something as simple as metal and steel and transform it into something with depth, dimension and more importantly, substance.
